Why Convert HTML to PDF?

A saved web page or an HTML export is a living thing that reflows with the window and leans on stylesheets that may not travel with it. Freezing it to PDF pins the content down for archiving, printing, or sending somewhere it has to look the same twice.

Be aware this reads the document structure rather than running a full browser render, so heavy CSS layouts come out simplified.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why doesn't my page look exactly like it did in the browser?
The browser converter walks the HTML structure and lays out text with pdf-lib; it does not run a full CSS engine. Headings, paragraphs, lists, and basic styling carry over, but grid, flexbox, and heavy CSS get simplified.
Are images and background graphics included?
The browser path focuses on text and structure and drops most images. If the page's visuals matter, the desktop app renders through LibreOffice, which keeps more of the styling.
Can I set the page size?
Yes. Choose A4, Letter, or Legal in the document editor before converting, along with the font and theme. The PDF paginates to fit.
What kind of HTML converts best?
Article-style pages, exported documents, and clean semantic markup convert well. Full application pages thick with scripts and CSS frameworks are where the fidelity floor shows most.
Is this conversion free, and is my file private?
Yes. The conversion runs in your browser tab, nothing is uploaded, and no account is needed. The only limit is size: 10 MB for this format. Bigger files route to the desktop app.
